Symptom
Early this year, one of my KRK Rokit 5 G4 powered studio monitor speaker I purchased back in 2021 died due to power board failure. When I turned the power switch on, LCD on back panel blinks and power indicator LED won't lit.
After searching internet, I found out this is a common issue for Rokit speakers and is caused by a use of cheap capacitor. And yes, my unit too has a slightly bulged "JinCon 1000μF 10V 105°C" capacitor.

Repair
Replacement capacitor was difficult to find, as the diameter of the original capacitor is 8mm while almost all compatible capacitors has ≥⌀10mm. Corresponding area on the board looks tight. However, people online seems to put ⌀10mm capacitor as a replacement, so that'll fit?
The capacitor I choose was Rubycon 1000µF 25V 100°C (25PX1000MEFC10X16) (DigiKey, Akizuki (JP)), which is ⌀10mm×L16mm. This is the only available one from credible vendor at the time. I had to cut the stupid silicon glue around the capacitor, but it fit okay. The capacitor is really close to a board connector, but it's not touching.

Now the speaker powers on and works perfectly.
